Here's how we cast our vision to your project and bring it to life.
We begin by getting to know you and hearing your story. We’ll take measurements and photos of your space, discuss initial style inspiration and ideas, and present an investment guide for services based on the scope of your project.

We start by envisioning your home using broad brushstrokes and planning layouts that maximize flow and functionality. From there, we’ll begin the process of selecting materials and finishes, initiate conversations with contractors and tradespeople, and gather quotes and estimates. We'll meet with you to review our concept and get your initial feedback.

We finalize our floor plans, materials, and finishes and work with cabinet makers and contractors for final estimates. For large-scale projects, we help facilitate the permit process and start working on a construction set of drawings.

We order materials and furnishings, resolve deficiencies, finalize our construction set of drawings, and regularly meet on-site with the construction team to ensure the project stays on track. We oversee and coordinate all deliveries of materials and furnishings, ensuring a smooth and seamless process.

The final step! All furnishings, materials, and art are delivered and installed, and we thoughtfully style your home so that every surface and space calls you home.

WHAT IS FULL SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN?
We take care of your project from beginning to end, starting with an overall vision and concept for your home until we install all your furniture, art, and accessories. All details are considered, and we work on your project throughout its execution.
HOW LONG DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?
The timeline depends on several factors, including the project scope, home size, and the availability of both clients and contractors. During our initial consultation, we establish a realistic schedule to ensure a smooth and efficient process. For a whole-home furnishing project, the design phase typically takes 4 to 5 months. If the project involves both remodeling and furnishing, the design process can take 6 to 8 months before demolition begins. We encourage you to reach out to us early in the process but if you are working with a tight timeline, please let us know, we also love a challenge!
what is the investment range for your services?
We understand that every project is unique, and during our initial phone call or consultation, we will discuss a typical range of investment. During our Discovery Phase, we create an appropriate budget considering your specific needs, past projects, design fees, furniture spend, and project scale. We charge hourly, keeping track of all the time we work on your project, and our design fees are invoiced monthly, throughout the project’s duration. Our in-home design consultation is $375 USD for one hour.
what iF I DON'T LIKE SOME OF THE ITEMS YOU HAVE SELECTED?
During our Discovery Phase, we develop a good sense of your aesthetics, wishes, and preferences, partly through a questionnaire and imagery. Once we are through our conceptual design phase, our first big meeting happens in person at our studio. During that presentation, we will review our overall vision for your home, drawings, presentation boards, and renderings, as well as fabrics and materials. We welcome your feedback at this time and in the following week so that we can make changes and new selections while still keeping the project moving.
Do you work with clients outside the San Francisco Bay Area?
Yes, while our firm is based in Mill Valley in Marin County, we have worked with clients across the Bay Area and beyond. We are happy to discuss projects outside our immediate area to explore how we can bring our unique design style to your home.
