San Rafael New Build

This newly built home is located in the Sun Valley neighborhood of San Rafael, California, a perfect location for this young family of four.

In collaboration with the homeowners and the contractor, we designed a simple home with a fresh California style and just a touch of unexpected. The hard working open floor plan allows for easy everyday living as well as for the homeowners’ regular family gatherings. We kept the materials simple and repeated them throughout the home which brings a sense of peacefulness but also gives the illusion that the house is bigger than it actually is.
White oak, accents of black and brass metal, warm whites, natural fabrics and thoughtful touches of colors and textures are carried throughout.
