This partial home remodel in collaboration with Peter Brandelius was designed for an empty-nester couple with a deep love for the ocean and surfing.
We transformed the kitchen, two bathrooms, and powder room, updated the flooring throughout, and created a stunning stone fireplace surround as a focal point. While much of the home received a fresh update, we incorporated the clients’ existing furnishings, resulting in a thoughtful mix of old and new that feels both curated and personal.
The design was further elevated by the clients’ impressive art collection, including works by the homeowner’s father, prolific artist Jerrold Burchman. A neutral color palette with ocean blues ties the spaces together, reflecting the couple’s connection to the sea and creating a serene yet sophisticated retreat.
